Headquartered in Broome, Western Australia, BRAMS provides holistic, culturally safe primary healthcare, aged care, and community programs to Aboriginal people throughout the Kimberley region.

Two Roles. One Purpose. Lasting Impact.

At BRAMS, you’ll do more than support participants - you’ll help people navigate complex systems, regain control, and feel empowered in their own lives. Based in Broome, these two full-time Support Coordination roles share a united goal of supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to access the care, services, and support they deserve.

Whether you're supporting day-to-day independence or navigating complex, high-risk situations, these roles are all about empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants to live well and access the services they deserve.

As a Support Coordinator, you’ll work closely with participants to implement their NDIS plans, build meaningful connections, and navigate everyday barriers. In the Specialist Support Coordinator role, you’ll take the lead on coordinating cross-agency responses for participants with high or complex needs, with a strong focus on stability, safety, and long-term outcomes.

Role Requirements at a Glance

Support Coordinator

Specialist Support Coordinator

Certificate or Diploma in Disability, Community Services, Mental Health, or a related field

Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health, or a related discipline

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in disability, community, or allied health services

Experience supporting people with complex needs, such as those affected by family violence, homelessness, involvement with the justice system, or multiple diagnoses.

Knowledge of NDIS processes, service navigation, and participant rights

Strong understanding of the NDIS, including change‑of‑circumstance processes and safeguarding

  • $80,000 - $95,000 + Super for the Support Coordinator
  • $100,000 - $120,000 + Super for the Specialist Support Coordinator

About BRAMS

The Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service which has been caring for the Broome community for more than 40 years. When we first opened our doors in 1977, BRAMS was the first remote Aboriginal Medical Service in Western Australia.

BRAMS provides comprehensive, holistic and culturally responsive primary health care, social and emotional wellbeing services, and NDIS support to Aboriginal people living in Broome. BRAMS delivers more than 40,000 of occasions of service each year.

BRAMS has an experienced team of health professionals, including Aboriginal Health Workers and Practitioners, GPs, Nurses, Psychologists, Social and Emotional Wellbeing Counsellors, NDIS support workers, and Public Health Officers who work together to improve health outcomes in the local community.
