About the Opportunity
BRAMS is looking for a full-time Family and Domestic Violence Case Worker based in Broome, WA.
In this role, you will work directly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their children, providing trauma-informed case management support tailored to family and domestic violence recovery. You will work across either crisis-based or short-term structured case pathways, depending on program needs - BRAMS will allocate successful applicants based on experience and fit.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting risk assessments and developing culturally safe safety plans
- Managing a caseload of clients experiencing or recovering from family and domestic violence
- Coordinating wraparound services, referrals, and interagency advocacy
- Supporting clients with goal setting, healing, and recovery planning
- Delivering client support with empathy, accountability, and cultural understanding
- Maintaining accurate client records in line with organisational policy
- Supporting education and awareness initiatives where required
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a collaborative environment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will not need formal qualifications - a Certificate IV in Community Services (or related field) is welcomed, but not required. What matters most is your experience in case management or community services, along with your ability to work compassionately and professionally with vulnerable clients.

You will also bring:
- Experience in case management or community support roles
- The ability to perform risk assessments and safety planning
- Strong communication, empathy, and conflict resolution skills
- Emotional maturity to navigate complex and sensitive client cases
- A team-first mindset and the ability to work collaboratively
- Commitment to cultural safety and trauma-informed care
You must also hold, or be willing to obtain, the following:
- National Police Clearance
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Up-to-date Influenza vaccination
